Product Description
Written by a woman who began running marathons at 50 years old, this inspirational guide describes the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of exercise. It confronts the problem of obesity today—nearly 60 percent of Americans are overweight—and emphasizes that weight control becomes an even greater challenge with age. But as this handbook asserts, it’s never too late to get fit. In nine easy-to-follow steps, the mechanics of an exercise program are clearly explained to help fitness first-timers devise their own regimens and become healthier in all areas of life.

Over the years I have strived to establish myself as a successful and knowledgeable woman in the financial services profession. I have been a Registered Representative for the past 23 years and am currently with the Principal Financial Group®. I am licensed in life and health insurance, Series 7 and 65 registrations.
Prior to being a financial representative, I was an educator. I spent the first 15 years of my professional career as a high school and college instructor. I hold my Masters of Education Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
My professional involvement and community activities are an important part of my life. I served on the Plattsmouth City Council for six years and was President for four years. My sub-committees included finance and economic development.
I am past president of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors)-Omaha Chapter. Some of my prior offices include President of the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce, President of the St. John the Baptist School Board, and President of GROW (Greater Resources of Omaha Women).
I have been a Qualifying Member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for eleven years. MDRT membership is earned through commitment to hard work and dedication to serving clients. I am also a three time Court of the Table qualifier.
At age 50, I became a runner and have completed nine marathons, including the prestigious Boston Marathon twice. I recently authored a book entitled “Fit after 50” written to inspire others, especially women, to run for physical, mental, and professional benefits.
Although I am deeply involved with my career and special interests, I would not be where I am today without the love and support of my family. I have been married to my husband, Richard, for 37 years. We have two grown children, Kristine and Andrew. Kristine is an Education Technology Trainer for the Diocese of Lincoln Schools. She and her husband, Keith, have 2 children, Evelyn and Joseph. Andrew is pursuing his PhD at Ohio State University in Food Science & Technology. Andrew is married to Erica, and is currently working for ConAgra. I take great pride in my role of wife, mother, and grandmother.
